Coronation Street spoilers: Shona Ramsey makes harrowing Josh Tucker discovery

Coronation Street stalwart, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), suffered a brutal sexual assault at the hands of Josh (Ryan Clayton).

And although David has now confided in Shona (Julia Goulding) about his ordeal, he is still struggling to come to terms with what happened.

The hairdresser admitted he didn’t want to go to the police now, fearing he will become a laughing stock.

But Shona thinks otherwise, and can’t shake the feeling she needs to tear down Josh from his reign of terror.

In the coming weeks, Shona starts on her investigative journey, starting with his work history.

She plans to steal his CV from the garage, but stumbles upon a goldmine instead.

Shona encourages Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) to chat to Josh about local gyms.

It isn’t long before the evil rapist spouts off about his old place of work, Gym Terminal.

Shona immediately sets out to investigate the old fitness centre and there she stumbles across Claire, who spills all.

Claire is keen to reconcile with her former colleague as she calls Josh and tells him about Shona’s enquiries.

But before Josh can retaliate, the wily café worker has already spoken to one of his old colleagues, Dec (Josh Harper).

Shona is relentless and eventually finds out Josh raped Dec too.

The traumatised colleague runs away following his encounter with Shona but she thinks she has the evidence she needs to send Josh down.

She immediately heads to see David to tell him he isn’t the only victim in Josh’s world.

But with him fresh off receiving a suspended sentence following his Gary Windass (Mikey North) assault, he isn’t keen to be anywhere near the police.

Can Shona convince David to press charges against evil Josh?

And is this the beginning of the end for the rapist?

This comes ahead of Pat Phelan’s (Connor McIntyre) return to the cobbles in the coming weeks.

His explosive comeback will surely spell danger for the Weatherfield residents who have done him wrong in the past.

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
